Jackalskraal Self Catering Chalets

Two self catering chalets are located in a beautiful valley on the Jackalskraal farm, just 5 minutes drive from Plettenberg Bay and close to the airport.

The cottages offer 2/3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and open plan lounge/dining with DSTV and luxury decor. For those warm, sultry summer evenings, there are outside braai areas with views over the valley.

For those who prefer the quiet solitude of nature and a farm environment, the Jackalskraal Chalets will become a destination and stay-over of choice.

Nearby attractions include the Griqua National Conference Centre & Museum, Plettenvale Wine Farm, the Robberg Peninsula and various coastal hiking trails.

The Griqua Historical Cultural Tour of Kranshoek

Visit the community head office to view historic photographs, news articles & editorials and learn more about the fascinating history of the Griqua nation, from the time of Adam Kok to the Le Fleur leadership. The Griqua National Heritage Monument is located directly across the road.

Other cultural attractions in Kranshoek include:
  • Community Craft Shop, where items such as leather work, printed & painted fabrics, bead work, painted shells are on display and for sale. All the crafts are handmade, reflecting the amazing history of the Griqua people.
  • The Kranshoek Rieldansers and Community Choir will also give performances on request.
  • The Community Tea Garden was the dream of Mary Henry and Sophia van Wyk, who opened this charming stop-over on Saturday 26 June 2012, in collaboration with the committee of the CDC. On offer are refreshments like homemade cakes and cookies, biscuits and light meals.
