Ingwe Forest Adventures
Ingwe is situated on privately owned land of approximately 200 hectares, much of which is covered in pristine indigenous forest and is a haven for plant, bird and animal life, creating an
ideal location for not only outdoor adventure activities and conservation orientated programmes, but also as a venue for conferences and weddings to family and group accommodation.
Ingwe means Leopard in Zulu and big cat in Xhosa; it was chosen in appreciation of these magnificent animals that still roam free in this area and all our programme have been developed to inspire participants to find the INGWE in themselves…
Individuality Naturalisation Gratification Wisdom Endurance
Ingwe was officially opened in December 2004 by Archbishop Winston Ndungane with the mission statement:
To create a place for both adults and children from all walks of life to enjoy various learning experiences that focus on developing excellent teamwork and leadership whilst gaining knowledge about the surrounding environment and how they can contribute to its preservation.
Tailor-made Adventure Programmes:
The Ingwe programmes focus on leadership and teambuilding in an outdoor, creative and non-competitive environment. The challenges are designed to encourage each member of the group to realise their full potential and use their unique skills to work as a team. Every participant receives a certificate on completion.
The Ingwe team boasts extensive collective experience in the development of individuals and teams of all ages, and all share a passion for education, ecology and the great outdoors. Programmes can be tailormade to suit your specific needs and facilitation is on a 1:10 ratio.
