Plett ranks in top 3 most desirable places in South Africa
Plettenberg Bay now ranks in the top three premier property locations in the country next to Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard and Sandton in Johannesburg.
That is according to the latest New World Wealth Survey of wealthy suburbs undertaken in conjunction with MasterCard and published in an article on iafrica.com. The article goes on to say how “awareness of Plettenberg Bay as a premier coastal destination is growing and buyers and visitors are now coming from across the globe.
The Plett Tourism Bureau is doing a great job promoting the town and we now also have a recognised wine route with twelve wine estates, many offering wine tastings and food. There are also plenty of leisure activities, from nature reserves to the river, ocean and of course Blue-Flag beaches.”

Vote for Tenikwa in Lilizela Awards
Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre has been nominated in the Lilizela Awards, South Africa’s premier tourism award.
Tenikwa is a Wildlife Rehabilitation and Awareness Centre that grew from humble beginnings in 2002 when the owners started rehabilitating injured birds in a wooded shed behind their house.
Today it is one of the largest active wildlife rehabilitation centres in the Western Cape, attending to a diverse variety of animals accepting both terrestrial and marine species.
To fund the rehabilitation work and to raise awareness of the conservation issues in South Africa, Tenikwa offers various small group programs throughout the day, catering for all ages and fitness levels with a focus on providing a conservation-based, informative tour.
If you have had an unforgettable Plett adventure at Tenikwa, why not go and vote for them?

Scuba diving and snorkelling in Plett
If you are a scuba diving enthusiast, then this stretch of coastline is not to be missed as it offers a unique look at the South African coastline and the vast differences between the Cape South Coast and the Northern, more tropical, coastline.
While Cape Town has kelp forests and Durban has tropical fish, the Southern Cape coast is a dramatic mix of vibrant soft corals, anemones and sponges and offers divers, and in particular macro photographers, an endless canvas of colourful reef to explore.
