Antonio Da Silva-Swart is an extreme hiker who lives in Hermanus. He is a man with a big heart for conservation and keeping our coastlines clean and free of plastic debris.

To raise awareness about the Marine debris found along our coastline, Antonio did a coastal hike from Cape Point to Harkerville (a total of 716.02km), collecting debris along the way.

Now he would like to pick up where he left off and hike from Harkerville through to Storms River Mouth (92km) along the coast in four days to once again raise awareness for the ever-growing marine debris problem.

This hike comes with an added motivation to help raise funds for The Butterfly Centre in Stanford who are needing to build a new school for special needs children. The centre is needing to raise R 500 000 for their new school, and Antonio is hoping to raise funds with donations for every kilometer he walks.
