VIDEO: EWT Senior golf series launched in Johannesburg

A unique and groundbreaking concept to for senior golf in South Africa, the EWT (Endangered Wildlife Trust) Senior Golf Series will combine nature conservation and amateur participation to provide professional golfers over the age of 50 with a competitive platform and an opportunity for the EWT to raise awareness for endangered species. 

The SA Senior Open, which will take place in Plett from 4th-7th April at the Plett Country Club, is in honour the endangered humpback dolphin.

Prize money for the SA Senior Open is R500 000 and the format for the event will be 72 professionals playing 4 rounds, with 72 amateurs playing together with the professionals for the first two days.

At the same time, the SA Golf Heritage Trust will be hosting its annual Southern Africa Golf Hall of Fame Induction Gala Banquet on 05 April at the Lookout Deck’s ‘Equinox’ restaurant.
