VACATION PLETT Packages, Plett Tourism’s new industry product, was launched at the World Travel Market® Africa 2018 (WTM) at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) today on 18 April.
Plett Tourism is participating with Wesgro, the official tourism, trade and investment promotion agency for Cape Town and the Western Cape. Other area tourism representation on the Wesgro stand includes several Garden Route towns and our Regional Tourism Office, Garden Route & Klein Karoo.
VACATION PLETT Packages have been put together specifically to market the town, including our festival seasons – in particular, packages developed for the Plett ARTS Festival (25 June – 8 July), the Plett Wine & Bubbly Festival (29 and 30 September) and customised Getaway packages (May – October). The festival packages vary between 2 and 3 night stays, include tickets to select festival events and entertainment, wine tasting tours into the Plett Winelands and select activities. The Getaway packages are custom-tailored to meet the needs of tour operators and FIT’s. All packages on offer are available with 3-star, 4-star and 5-star accommodation offerings.
WTM Africa is a fantastic platform to launch new products, to meet travel professionals and to experience the South African travel industry. With a vibrant, culturally diverse audience of tourism professionals in South Africa and international travel professionals, our four representatives are increasing brand exposure, generating new sales leads, strengthening existing relationships and closing new business.
In addition to launching VACATION PLETT Packages, Plett Tourism are featuring select wine farms to promote the area as a burgeoning wine industry location. Participating wine farms include Bramon, Kay and Monty, Lodestone and Newstead.
Follow-up and continuous contact with industry professionals will be ongoing, so don’t be surprised to find a few familiar faces amongst new travellers to experience our winter festivals in Plett.
