A Family Travel Journey Through Plett: Media Visit by James Fouché
Plett Tourism was pleased to welcome wine journalist, travel writer and crime author James Fouché to Plettenberg Bay, where he spent several days exploring the region’s diverse family-friendly offerings.
Fouché, known for his engaging storytelling and deep appreciation of local travel experiences, visited Plett as part of Plett Tourism’s ongoing initiative to host media and trade partners who play an essential role in showcasing the destination to wider audiences.
During his stay, James immersed himself in a selection of experiences that reflect Plettenberg Bay’s strong family-travel appeal—ranging from outdoor adventure experiences to nature-based activities and warm hospitality offerings. His curated itinerary was designed to highlight Plett’s versatility as a destination for travellers of all ages, with introductions facilitated by Plett Tourism and supported by our valued local partners.
These visits form part of our broader strategy to encourage tour operators, media houses, and travel professionals to experience Plett firsthand, strengthening relationships and expanding destination awareness through authentic storytelling.
The first result of his visit has already been published in Rove Magazine and is a beautifully written feature presenting Plett as a top family-travel destination. We invite our partners, members, and the wider travel trade to read his full article here:
