The beautiful Tamodi Guest Lodge and Stables were created by Lynne and Owen Johnston out of their passion for horses and the magnificent valleys of the Crags. This love has transcended into a truly luxurious bed and breakfast in the Garden Route, Plettenberg Bay – perfect for a quiet and tranquil holiday focusing on the outdoors.

The lodge overlooks a magnificent indigenous forest and valley, as well as the astoundingly beautiful Outeniqua Mountains – aiding to the tranquil atmosphere which surrounds this enchanting and carefully designed Plettenberg Bay accommodation establishment.

The architecture of the house is one of its most enchanting aspects, enabling guests to feel at home straight away. Two spacious lounges and three massive indoor fireplaces make this Plettenberg Bay holiday accommodation warm and comforting during the winter months, while the combination of the reading room and swimming pool create the perfect recipe for relaxation during summer. Regardless of the season you choose to visit, you’ll find Tamodi Lodge to be a true paradise.

The property forms part of a natural conservancy area and is also a working equestrian farm with its own riding school. There are many local bird species in our surrounded trees and the forest, making the area perfect for bird watching or for simply listening to their calls while relaxing.

Guests can choose to stay in one of our two beautiful standard rooms or in our luxurious honeymoon suite. Each have been decorated with your utmost comfort in mind and have an attention to detail that will pamper and aid you in unwinding.

As a Plettenberg Bay bed and breakfast establishment, all guests can indulge in a full breakfast. For lunch and dinner we can recommend our favourite Plettenberg Bay restaurants to you. For instance, Enrico’s is just few minute’s drive away at Keurbooms beach – here you can sit back and enjoy magnificent views over the bay while whale watching and observing the dolphins playing in the surf.

Our farm is very close to Plettenberg Bay in the Garden Route, ensuring that there is never a dull moment and allowing you to explore at your own leisure and convenience.
