This is the ultimate thrill! Come and jump off the world’s highest (commercial) bungy bridge. We secure you in a full body harness and proceed to walk along a specially designed catwalk, which is suspended beneath the road surface, which will then lead you to the top of the arch – 216 meters above the ground! Here you will be given final instructions by highly experienced staff, and then: 5,4,3,2,1… BUNGY!! Bloukrans utilizes pendulum bungy technology ensuring you the smoothest, most comfortable bungy jump possible.
Is this too much for you, or do you prefer not to hang up-side-down? Then you can do the Flying Fox, a 200 meter cable slide from the beginning of the bridge to the middle, surrounded by the mountains, and the beautiful gorge.

Our Gourits River Bridge operation received notice from The Provincial Administration that all operations on the the Old Gourits River Bridge cease as of 28 February 2009 because of an engineer’s report indicating that “due to structural defects, the bridge has become unsafe”. We have yet to receive any further information from the Provincial Administration as to what their intention is with regards fixing up the bridge and it’s future, and to date no feedback has been given, other than to condemn the bridge until further notice.
