Dallas Smith’s definitive art is synonymous with Plett/Knysna thanks to his skillful fusing of the complex and minimal while capturing light and clarity often with some quirky elements.
Dallas is thrilled with his new gallery space at 29 Main Street where he paints alongside his son, Zachariah who is excelling at his own brand in an original contemporary style.
Aligned with his belief that “local artists should bring unique perspectives and vibrancy which reflect the essence of their environment” Dallas’ gallery boasts a carefully curated selection of mostly local artists such as Robbie Leggat, Vicki Norcliffe, Laura Jamieson, Tim Glasby, David Wells, Hesty, Grant Edwards, Timothy Smith, Nicki Friedlein, Zane Pretorius, Freek Steenberg, Jeanne Marie Lodewyks and Carmen Clews.
With the offering of original paintings, reproductions, art apparel, porcelainware, wood, stone and bronze sculpture, the invitation is open to all to: “come and invest in Plettenberg Bay and its heritage!”
