Enjoy magnificent views over mountains, forest and farmland, whilst sipping local wine in the company of your fellow carriage riders.
Our vintage 16-seater carriage is drawn by two beautiful Percherons and our guides will entertain you with interesting facts and information regarding the history of the area, its people and the local wine industry. Refreshments are served during the carriage ride.

One Hour Carriage Wine Tasting Trail:

Enjoy magnificent views over mountains, forest and farmland, with a sneak peak of some elephants in the distance whilst sipping local wine in the company of your fellow carriage riders. The trail takes you through the Bramon vineyards, for two tastings at the tasting center.

Check in for your carriage ride through the Crags Winelands to enjoy two wine tastings and a delectable lunch at a combination of Lodestone, Kay & Monty and Redford Lane Wine Estates. Minimum 10 pax required to book.

One Hour Forest and Farm Trail : Departure Daily @ 09h00
Meander across lush green fields, overlooking the forest and mountains in the distance, amongst farm animals and local wildlife.
Cost : R390-00 per person for 1 hour
Two Hour Forest and Farm Trail : Departure Daily @ 10h00 & 14h00
Explore local forest and farmland. You might get close to Baboons, Monkeys and indigenous birds, with an option of a trot or canter over beautiful emerald fields with views over the surrounding forest and mountains in the distance..
Cost : R750-00 per person for 2 hours
Half or Full Day Kurland Picnic Trail : Departure Daily @ 11h00 for half day and 10h00 for full day
A beautiful ride through fields, tea plantations, vineyards and forest, with views over the Tsitsikamma Mountains to the magnificent Kurland Polo Estate. An optional picnic is available on request under the Oak Trees or in front of the fire on chilly days.
Adventurous riders will enjoy the full day option which leads to a view point overlooking The Crags, the ocean and Robberg Nature Reserve in the distance.
Cost : R1200-00 per person half day and R1500-00 per person full day trail only. Picnic R200pp including refreshments.
Half or Full Day Cruise Cruise The Crags Trail : Departure 10h00 for half day and 09h00 for full day
An action filled day amidst the magnificent Crags at the foot of the Tsitsikamma Mountains, riding on horse back between fun filled activities. Choose up to two of the following activities plus a lunch venue and tailor make your own route on horseback. Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Crags Elephant Sanctuary, Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary, fresh farm fare at Peppermill Café or a delectable Tappas Lunch at Bramon Wine Estate. Booking required 48 hours in advance and package prices upon enquiry.

Enjoy the Crags Wine Route on horseback. Explore the beautiful vineyards, Fynbos and forest whilst tasting local wines and accompanying delectable fare at a choice of five wine estates in this area : Bramon Wine Estate (open every day), Redford Lane Wines (open Tuesday – Sunday), Lodestone (open Tuesday – Sunday), Kay & Monty (open Tuesday – Sunday) and Newstead Wines (open Tuesday to Saturday).
Half Day : R990-00 per person for Half Day (Bramon OR Newstead) Crags Wine Trail – excluding wine tasting and lunch.
Full Day : R1500-00 per person for Full Day (Redford Lane and Kay & Monty) Crags Wine Trail – excluding wine tastings and lunch.
All level of riders are welcome, and all ages are welcome. Maximum weight of 120kg applies. We have had from 3-year-olds to 85-year-olds on our trails!! Upon arrival, a short assessment is made to identify the right horse and safe riding gear for each rider.
Our horses are selected for their good composition and gentle temperaments. We love them and keep them in tip-top condition. Their tack fits properly and is well maintained. Our focus is to ensure that our rides are suitable for all levels of experience – the emphasis being on a safe and enjoyable ride.

Riders to arrive 30 mins prior to departure of the trail ride in order to kit up, fill in necessary forms and be allocated the right horse.
- Fitting riding safety helmet and chaps upon arrival.
- A brief assessment regarding rider competence.
- Determining the right horse for every rider ie size, level of experience.
- Guidance in the basics of riding a horse.
- Pace of ride is determined by ability of riders present.
- Experienced guides whose focus lies in providing a fun, safe experience for all.
Rider Clothing Recommendations:
- Wear comfortable, stretch pants ie ski pants, stretch jeans or track suit pants.
- Shoes need to be closed and have a firm sole – if possible a slight heel for maximum safety.
- Loose fitting shirt or T-shirt.
- Warm top or rain jacket, weather dependant.
- Sun Block.
- Riders allergic to horse hair should plan ahead and bring along anti-histamine and/or asthma pumps.
