And all this just a few minutes-drive outside Plettenberg Bay, the quaint seaside town in the heart of the Garden Route.
Plett Game Reserve is the Southern Cape’s biggest game reserve and is home to 3 of Africa‘s Big 5. The reserve is situated on over 2000 hectares of indigenous beauty and is malaria free. There are over 150 different species of game and bird life. Join us on a horseback safari to interact closely with the wildlife, or simply relax and enjoy a 2 hour game drive in an open land rover with our experienced and well-informed guides and see our large variety of wildlife up close.
The reserve welcomes children, and has a wonderful enclosed play area to relax and stretch your legs. The coffee shop and bar facilities are also open to the public.
Game Drives
Join us at Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve, the hidden gem of the popular Garden Route, Western Cape. You’ll leave with a lifetime memory of the very best that African Wildlife viewing has to offer.
Our 2 hour game drives are done in open landrovers, so you can feel close to Nature. Fill your lungs with the scent of the African earth fused with its endemic wildlife, and feel the cooling breeze of the afternoon sunset. (Blankets are supplied for those cold days)
Our guests are welcomed and accompanied by one of our passionately experienced game rangers. The rangers love sharing their knowledge with our guests, so please – allow your mind to wonder on our game drives!
During the safari, try to spot 3 of Africa’s ‘Big 5’, and other wildlife including elephants, rhinos and leopards, different species of antelopes, birds, and more. At the end of the tour, return to the Safari Centre where your tour will end.

- Grab your camera bag and binoculars.
- Bring something to drink and maybe a small snack for your children.
- Bring something warm in case it rains or there is a chill in the air early morning, late evening.
