Did you know that the art of cheesemaking dates back to at least 5000 years?

Archaeological evidence points to the fact that ancient Egyptian civilizations were one of first people to make cheese! That means cheese was first made in Africa.

Learn the age-old art of making cheese with Clyde Berning and the Finest Kind team here in Plettenberg Bay, cheese you can make in your kitchen with basic equipment and two-liters shop-bought milk.

You will learn to make yoghurt, feta, soft cheese, ricotta and fromage frais on this cheesemaking course.

A delicious lunch will be served with the cheeses you’ve made such as ricotta gnocchi, a feta salad, sour cream pecan nut cake and a fromage frais sprinkled with zaatar and sumac.

The courses are held monthly. And the price includes a take-home Finest Kind Cheese and Yoghurt Kit so that you can continue to practice your newfound skill in your own home.
