“For the times they are a-changin” and at Mel’s Place we’re all about going with the flow and changing with the times.

We’re excited to announce that as of Monday 15 March, we will be going back to our tried, tested and much-loved Barnyard model and focus on what we do best – entertaining people! Our kitchen at Mel’s will have a short but sweet menu available to fill the empty stomachs.

To kick this off we have a bumper show line up showcasing the crème de la crème of local artists. The entertainment industry and South African artists have navigated a rough year, so let’s support them, the local economy and bring back the music.

So what does this mean for Mel’s Place? From next week we will be an event-based venue and will only be open when we have a ticketed event, with our next show being on Monday 22 March. We’re very busy behind the scenes lining up your entertainment and will keep you posted via our website and social media pages. Visit our Box Office on www.melsplaceplett.com or www.tixsa.co.za to book your tickets – limited space available due to Covid19 regulations.

Got a birthday or special occasion coming up or perhaps looking for a venue for your corporate event? Hire out our Lapa for your private function – think out of the box …. the possibilities are endless and we’re up for the challenge!

Day vibes – we still have you covered during the day though! Our friendly coffee shop Coffee Cafe is open Monday-Saturday until 3pm. The Shoppe, our quaint general dealer and home industries shop remains open 7 days a week from 9-6pm.
