The ocean is the heart of the planet. It’s deep waters are home to some of the most extraordinary creatures and plants imaginable. 7 out of 10 breaths you take come from the ocean. Food for 1 billion people and jobs for 56 million come from our seas. The ocean controls and regulates the climate and makes the earth habitable. Plastic pollution, pesticides, chemicals, oil spills, sewerage and looting of ocean life, is killing the ocean.
For 21 years the Nature’s Valley Trust has made an extraordinary contribution to conservation and environmental education on the iconic Garden Route and Tsitsikamma coast. Increasingly important research on the greater Plettenberg Bay area is highlighting the importance of this natural marine treasure house- not only for the environment but especially for sustainable livelihoods. You can make a difference by supporting the internationally recognised work of the Natures Valley Trust.
Join us by participating in our virtual event. Grab some friends and get into motion. Run, swim, cycle, walk, kayak- it’s up to you! Anywhere you are and anytime you’re ready over the weekend of the 20th to the 22nd of March.
