DUET is a brand-new show where Kevin Leo and Jannie Moolman, joined forces to take their discerned audience on a musical journey through time bringing them a compilation of all-time favorites from a vast variety of genres. Audiences can embrace themselves for a tenor voices experience of magnitude proportions, unheard of in South Africa.

TWEE Sirkels27 JUNE

TWEE

Kort op die hakke van hul eerste weghol sukses album, Piekniek vir Twee, volg die kykNET Afri-Visie wenners, TWEE, se volgende album, SIRKELS.

Herman en Maria se unieke en eerlike vertolking van hulle liedjies het gou gehore se harte gesteel! Luisteraars kan huil, dans, glimlag, nostalgies wees, om die braaivleisvuur kuier of alleen met oorfone stil wees en luister. Herman noem dat hy juis weer kies om nie die stories te deel wat hom inspireer het om die liedjies te skryf nie, omdat hy wil hê die luisteraar moet na aanleiding van hul eie ervaringe aanklank vind by die lirieke en universele temas. Herman hou hom selfs rymkletser op een van die liedjies en skerts: “As Ed Sheeran dit kan doen, kan hierdie gemmer mos ook! Ek sit op elke album altyd ‘n lukrake liedjie waarmee ek sommer net die waters toets. Ek is werklik opgewonde om die luisteraars se opinie hieroor ook te hoor.” Maria sê: “Dit is amper onmoontlik om liedjies uit te sonder op die album – Herman het alweer getoor met sy pen!”

TWEE tree landswyd op in meestal intieme teaters waar hulle gehore saam reis op ‘n diep, emosionele vertoning met hulle eenvoudige, maar treffende melodieë en lirieke.

ABBA 4 JULY

TRIBUTE TO ABBA – Mike McCully & The Harmonix

Mike McCully (McCully Workshop and Buccaneer fame) has again put together another tribute show, this time featuring the fantastic music of ABBA.

With an All-Star cast, this show first came to prominence in 2014 at Grand West Casino and ran for two sell-out seasons!

This time Mike himself is on drums and vocals and leads the amazing cast comprised of bassist extraodinaire Neil Payton, the multi-talented Warren Lomberg on guitars and vocals and keyboard wizard, Gordon Mackay( like Mike from McCully Workshop) on violin, keys and vocals.

The two girls making up the Abba group (both Agnetha and Freda look-alikes) are the awesome Sjanel Vosloo and the amazing Luella Holland. Both girls were in the original show at Grand West.

Patrons will be encouraged to sing along to their favourite ABBA songs like WATERLOO, RING RING, CHIQUITITA, FERNANDO, MONEY MONEY MONEY, DOES YOUR MOTHER KNOW, GIMME GIMME, VOULEZ VOUZ, NAME OF THE GAME, THE WINNER TAKES IT ALL, MAMA MIA, DANCING QUEEN and many more.

Recently the show was performed again at Grand West to a sell-out crowd and the audiences went ballistic!

Beatles 5 JULY

TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES

The legendary producer and musical director, Mike McCullagh of McCully Workshop, “Station 70”, “60 Something”, “Milestones to the Millennium” fame and more, has formed a new young group, The Harmonix, to pay tribute to Britian’s national treasure and cultural icons, The Beatles.

The exceptionally talented cast, headed by Mike himself on drums and vocals, will re-create many of the sounds of the Swinging Sixties, as well as putting their stamp of originality on their versions of Beatles’ songs.

Patrons can expect songs like “Hey Jude”, “Get Back”, “Ticket to Ride”, “Norwegian Wood”, “Sgt. Pepper”, “Back in the USSR”, “Obladi Oblada”, “ I Feel Fine” and many more Beatle favourites.

Rivertones 13 JULY

THE RIVERTONES – TRIBUTE TO BOB MARLEY

THE RIVERTONES, “Cape Town’s most loved Reggae band” who were invited by the government of Madagascar to perform at awareness concerts across the island, are a regular feature and firm favourite at festivals, corporate functions, markets, weddings, wine estates, theatre supper venues and restaurants in and around Cape Town. They also perform internationally with their upbeat, skanking, joyful, old school reggae sound and their message of “one love”. Founder member, Roland Nair, who made his stage debut at the age of 12, has performed in 15 countries to capacity crowds of 75,000 with the likes of Bob Marley’s band, The Wailers.

The Rivertones will have you grooving in no time to their original reggae songs and Bob Marley Reggae favourites like “Redemption Song”, “Three Little Birds”, “One Love”, “No Woman No Cry”, “Stir It Up”, “Buffalo Soldier”, “Could You Be Loved”, “ Get Up Stand Up”, “Jamming”, amongst others. Bob Marley, one of the most transcendent and inspirational musicians of all time, is the face of reggae music for many people and his smooth songs are an ever-present force in the soundtrack of life.

Queen 27 JULY

JOSEPH CLARK – THE MUSIC OF QUEEN

After an absence in the Eastern Cape for many years, this lead vocalist extraordinaire will be in Port Elizabeth and Plettenberg Bay again in July after selling out weeks before the time in February!

Being regarded by many as the world’s number one performer doing justice to Queen’s music, Joseph will thrill you with his magical and individual style by taking the iconic group’s music to another level.

Joseph will be joined by lead guitarist Nathan Smith, from The Voice and Noot-Vir-Noot -fame.

Joseph and his band tour internationally with The Music Of Queen, a powerful tour de force and played in The Gelredome Stadium in The Netherlands in 2011 to over 30,000 Queen-fans.

Queen crossed all musical genres and the line-up of songs in Joseph Clark– The Music of QUEEN is like no other Queen tribute. Apart from classics like We Will Rock You, Another One Bites The Dust, We Are The Champions, I Want To Break Free, Killer Queen, Fat Bottomed Girls, Bicycle Race, and Bohemian Rhapsody, they also cover songs not normally performed live, including Innuendo, You Take My Breath Away, Is This The World We Created, Too Much Love Will Kill You, Mother Love and In My Defence.
