Once a year on the 29th December the well-heeled and finely dressed gather at the magnificent Kurland estate, for the polo event of the year!

The tradition of the ‘Plett Polo International’ test match, is one that is highly anticipated and very well attended. Our boys in green and gold (the best south Africa has to offer) go into battle against the opposing international team.

The day has something on offer for everyone and is a wonderful family day out. Whether you are enjoying yourself in a picnic spot or are viewing the match for one of the VIP boxes, the thrill of watching highly trained polo ponies galloping across the field is endless.

This year there is going to be an array of new spectator facilities; first the very trendy dedicated ‘gin bar’ will be position right next the new After-Party tent. A delicious selection of gourmet food trucks will be on hand to take care of all your hunger needs. We are also introducing a new bar for the east bank, so that the picnic goers and grandstand seating don’t have to travel too far for a refreshment.
