“Postcrossing” is an internationally recognised (hobby) which has been flourishing all over the world since COVID – specifically seeing that people can’t travel abroad that freely right now, it encourages people to send postcards “the old-fashioned way”, and thereby indeed putting smiles on so many faces.
This “Postcrossing” event is the second of its kind in South Africa, and the first one was also in Plett a few months ago.
It will be a casual get-together of like-minded individuals who still enjoy the old-fashioned way of writing letters.
All that you need to bring along is: a pen; an international postage stamp; and enough money to pay for your own drink.
We’re even providing cake, and a casual talk.
We will then write out a few postcards.
Our postcards for the event have been custom designed.
Due to limited space, this event will be by invitation only, and therefore you need to contact the organisers to book your seat. No walk-ins will be allowed.
It promises to be a fun morning, and the media will be present.
There are so few informal and fun events, so we’re looking forward to this one indeed.
