Radio Kalahari Orkes

Child Friendly Credit Card Facility Restaurant / Bar facility
radio kalahari orkes
Event Date: 11 July, 2014

The talented Ian Roberts and his Radio Kalahari Band that tours the breadth of our country (and Europe). No village where they all were will be the same. It’s a good thing. No, really. Ok except Pofadder, but we do not talk more about it.

Uncontrolled show clapping music that smells, tastes and sounds like the field, the air and the rhythm of a windmill in a dusty landscape. A cocktail of Rock & Roll, Ghoema, Latin, Jazz and Africana that kicks harder than Mampoer! RKO use Accordion, Violin, Penny flutes, Guitars, Bass, Drums, Mouth Organs and sometimes a Sitar.

The voices tell stories that will make you long for someone you don’t know.

Original in Afrikaans:
