The Sabrina Love Ocean Challenge takes place every year at the end of December and is one of the biggest sporting events on the Plettenberg Bay Event Calendar. The town of Plett becomes draped in pink as approximately 4000 athletes of all age, shape and size come out to compete in the many different events all in aid of raising funds for the Sabrina Love Foundation and our many special needs children that we look after.
The event spans two days and the first day takes place down on Central Beach with an ocean swim, ocean paddling events, a 10km run and a fun walk along the beach for the family. The second day moves competitors up to the Kurland Polo Estate where competitors can take part in a staged multi-discipline event or enter the events separately. These include a dam swim, mountain bike race, trail runs and even a Kids of Steel event.
The event is organised by the Magnetic South Events Team and sponsored by Discovery and The Stonehage Group.
