INTERNATIONAL PRIZE-WINNING CHOIR TO PERFORM IN PLETT

The Kids of Kurland School Project presents, as part of its fundraising for 2025, a performance by the Zolani Youth Choir.

DATE: 22 February 2025
TIME: 08:00 PM to 09:15 PM
VENUE: The White House Theatre
TICKETS: R250 per person at The Old House Shop

The choir was started in 2012 by Odwa Mvunge to equip children from the Ashton village with musical skills. It has gone from strength to strength leading to it being invited to take part in an International A Capella Competition in Moscow in 2024. 150 choirs from around the world competed and the Zolani Choir won. They were awarded the Grand Prix thus giving them International fame. Odwa proved to them that your circumstances should never determine your destiny.

Those who heard the choir last year will know just how talented they are, singing a diverse selection of music, such as classical, favourites, religious items and African music. The NPO feels extremely thrilled that the choir is prepared to come back to Plett and perform for us. Don’t miss this amazing musical treat.

The Kids of Kurland School Project is a long-serving NPO that pays the salaries for 3 extra teachers in the overcrowded classrooms at The Crags Primary.
