The Crags
The Crags is easily one of Plett’s busiest neighbourhoods. Located between Nature’s Valley and the town of Plett, it could easily be overlooked by those passing through if not its award-winning animal sanctuaries, and award-winning vineyards. In The Crags, you’ll find an entire lane of wine estates with gates open wide in welcome, and on the other sanctuaries for primates, snakes, penguins, wild cats and birds of all kinds. Many of Plett’s most beloved attractions can be found in this beautiful little stretch which is dotted with farm stalls and other interesting attractions.
Why Not Try? Africanyon River Adventures. Suit up and take the plunge – this is one of Plett’s favourite’s adventures: waterfalls, abseiling, jumping and zip-lining your way through a summer day. Recommended for families: Visit one of the Crag’s animal sanctuaries for an unforgettable experience. Plett’s sanctuaries do incredible rescue and rehabilitation, and, through visitors, can continue to do their good work. Taste: The restaurants at Kay and Monty, Newstead, and Bramon wine estates are some of Plett’s most popular – ideal for a lazy afternoon of sipping and savouring.
