Below we’ve put together a sample itinerary of what could lie in store for you, but the choices are all up to you (tip: this week is the middle of the official whale season) and there is plenty to choose from.
DAY 1 – Monday, 23 September

DAY 3 – Wednesday, 25 September
Experience: Woodcutters Trail with Stormsriver Adventures
Discover nature at its purest form on the “Tsitsikamma Woodcutters Journey”. Experience the uniqueness of this biome on a journey down the old Stormsriver Pass through the indigenous Tsitsikamma forest from the comfort of a specially-designed vehicle. Follow the elephant migratory route, passing yellowwoods and stinkwoods, while learning about the history of the area and its indigenous fauna and flora.
Eat: Marilyn’s 60’s Diner
Marilyn’s 60’s Diner situated in Storms River Village, in the heart of Tsitsikamma, is a great landmark for a trip down memory lane. DAY 4 – Thursday, 26 September
Experience: Zipline at Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour
Discover the secrets of the spectacular Tsitsikamma Indigenous forest. As you enter the forest you will encounter Hard Pear trees, Giant Yellow Woods and other interesting Forest Flora. Stand next to a giant Outeniqua Yellow wood and feel like a dwarf against this unique creation. You will encounter beautiful Tree Ferns hundreds of years old. The Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour is located in the scenic Stormsriver Village just 180 km from Port Elizabeth and 65 km from Plettenberg Bay.
Eat: Tsitrus Café
Come and enjoy the atmosphere at Tsitrus Cafe. Sit in the garden with the orange trees and savour the view of the mountain or enjoy the colourful and cosy interior, with its wood burning pizza oven. Shop for gifts of local craft and interesting items. Sample some craft beer or locally produced cheese. For kids there is an outdoor play area, or an inside play room for those rainy Tsitsikamma days…
DAY 5 – Friday, 27 September
Experience: Cultural Tour with Shine Away Tours
Learn about the daily lives of people from our different African traditions, cultures and languages, who have made these townships their home, and how they are related. The tours will take you past the local schools, spaza shops, home-styled hairdressers and plus historical places of interest, and many more colourful sights and sounds. Choose your tour which starts daily at 9.30am and 1.30pm and leave from the Plett Tourism Office.

DAY 6 – Saturday, 28 September
