The Kranshoek Griqua Community Trust has officially opened two six bedded self catering chalets which have been built on the Jackalskraal farm, located close to the Plett Airport and just five minutes from town.
The chalets are of extremely good three star standard, offering both the international and South African traveler a home from home within a farm environment when visiting Plettenberg Bay.
Both units have fully equipped kitchens, luxury bedrooms and bathrooms and an outside braai area for those long sunny, summer evenings. Rates vary from R100pps to R150pps, dependant on the season.
The opening function function was held on the Saturday 28th March at Jackalskraal. In excess of 300 guests attended the function, including dignitaries of the Griqua community, representatives from the Bitou Municipality, SETA and Plett Tourism.
Prior to the main function, VIP guests were treated to a guided tour of the Griqua cultural sites which are located at Kranshoek. Included in the tour were the Griqua museum, the Griqua monument and Le Fleur’s original homestead which was built on the farm in the late 1920s.
