Mobile covid-19 test service opens in Plettenberg Bay to provide services to the hospitality industry and local business
Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) based company, Nurse2U, launches their mobile medical testing franchise in Plettenberg Bay with the guidance of Plett Home Care, a local private duty home health care agency.
“We have received notice from several of our hospitality products, notably the 5-star establishments, that international tour operators and travel professionals may soon require PCR and/or Anitgen tests prior to guests leaving for their next SA destination. In preparation for this, Plett Tourism investigated the opportunity to formalize a mobile COVID-19 testing service that can be used locally and possibly in other areas of the Garden Route,” says Patty Butterworth (CEO, Plett Tourism).
After contacting the Nurse2U franchisee in Port Elizabeth, Butterworth soon realized that a local business that specializes in the medical field and one that had qualified nurses would be essential. An introduction between Nurse2U and the local Plett Home Care business made sense, and this introduction soon turned into a formal service agreement between the franchisee and the business owner.
“We think this will provide peace of mind for the international trade and the local hospitality industry. We have taken this step to ensure the safety of our future guests,” comments Butterworth.
The hospitality industry should remain vigilant in the face of this surge. Although travel is slowly opening, towns that have quick and efficient COVID-19 testing will hopefully see a steady recovery in the industry.
The Nurse2U service includes rapid COVID-19 PCR tests and other viral tests, with a minimum 15 to 30-minute result in the privacy of the business premises or home.
In addition to servicing the hospitality industry, the Plett Nurse2U will also be available for on-site business and event testing. For more information and details about the tests, contact Marc Braun on 082 927 1773.
