The most popular two-tank dive on the Garden Route

ProDive, located at the Beacon Isle Hotel, brings you the perfect diving experience along the picturesque Garden Route – a combination of spectacular reef diving and a visit to Robberg Nature Reserve to dive with the friendly and inquisitive Cape Fur Seals.

Choose to dive in one of these sites, Jacobs Reef or Dolphins Column. Both sites offer spectacular wall dives adorned with vibrant soft corals. As you descend, you’ll be greeted by a kaleidoscope of colors, showcasing the beauty of Plett diving and the richness of Eastern Cape reefs. What makes these reefs truly special is not just its beauty but also its display of many sea creatures.

A big highlight is seeing many Shysharks resting on top of each other in the rocky crevices; these sharks are endemic to the coastal waters of the Western & Eastern Cape. Read more here.

Situated in shallower waters (Depth: 10-16m), it’s a great spot for divers of all levels. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting your underwater adventures, these dives offer an unforgettable experience.

Highlights:

  • Sea Fans covered in Basket Stars
  • Shysharks
  • Large reef fish such as Red Roman, Zebras and Blacktail
  • Rays and Octopus
  • Nudibranchs
  • Orange wall sponge and purple soft coral
  • Occasional sightings of dolphins and sharks

After a reef exploration, we head over to Robberg Nature Reserve for a Dive with the Cape Fur Seals.

Scuba diving with the Seals is an exhilarating experience that allows you to immerse yourself in the playful world of these charismatic marine mammals. As you slowly descend into the water, you’re greeted by the curious and agile seals, who are eager to interact with you. To really enjoy the dive, we ask divers to stay on their knees; this allows the seals to come towards you. You’ll be captivated by their acrobatic displays, as they dart and twirl around you with unmatched grace. It’s a truly unforgettable adventure, offering a unique opportunity to witness these beautiful creatures in a non-invasive way, in their natural habitat.
