The Plett Trail at World Travel Market
The Plett Trail, Plett Tourism’s new industry product, was launched at the World Travel Market® Africa 2016 (WTM) at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) earlier in April.
Plett Tourism participated with Wesgro, the official tourism, trade and investment promotion agency for Cape Town and the Western Cape. WTM Africa was a fantastic platform to launch The Plett Trail.
With a vibrant, culturally diverse audience of tourism professionals in South Africa and international travel professionals, our representatives were able to increase brand exposure, generate new sales leads, strengthen existing relationships and close new business.

Plett Tourism intern guides Garden Route Walking Festival
Participants in the Garden Route Walking Festival got a sneak peek at a portion of the new Plett Trail, as Plett Tourism intern turned guide, Luck'z Mdzeke, led a group around the 11km route of the Robberg Peninsula.
Luck’z said of the tour: “What a great honour it was for me to partake as a lead guide on the Garden Route Walking Festival. I had 6 clients (tourists) and 1 child. I must say how amazing and interesting it was to share information about our natural inheritance with other fellow South Africans. This experience was very special to me, to talk to the people and learn from each other about our surroundings and our country itself.”
