Nguni Restaurant spreading warmth, flavour and good food from two Plett locations

After a short winter break, cosy and comfortable Nguni Restaurant once again opened its doors for the spring-summer season on 1st August 2023.

The restaurant, which is known for its distinctly South African menu, adds creative flair to comfortable favourites such as lamb curry and oxtail stew using the freshest local produce, and coaxing maximum flavour out of every beautiful ingredient. The menu’s African inspiration is honoured in the latest addition to their menu: a delicious springbok loin.

The restaurant’s location is a historical monument and one of the oldest buildings in Plett, offering an original wood-burning stove and eclectic African-style interior flowing onto a sun-kissed verandah making it a wonderful dining experience for lunch or dinner. The Nguni Team are passionate about food and it shows on each plate – a true taste of the Cape. Find out more here.

In mid-September, Nguni’s “little sister” at The Market Off Main, Sanga Meat Shack will reopen with the most amazing ocean views and serving some of the best burgers in town and incredible Sanga chilli sauces. The menu includes chicken prego, beef, chicken and veg burgers, wors, and chips. Simple, yet scrumptious. And well worth a visit for a casual quick meal in the heart of Plettenberg Bay. Find out more here.
