Plett’s first Tag Rugby Tournament a great success

Plett Tag Rugby Tournament
Published: December 20th, 2013

As South Africans, we love our rugby; whether we are in the stadium or in front of the TV cheering on our favourite teams or getting a group together for a game of touch or tag rugby, there is always time for a game!

Yesterday, Plett’s Central Beach Summer Arena was the home of some epic matches as Plett’s first Tag Rugby Tournament took place. The weather delivered a stunning day and a well organised event kept holiday-makers entertained. The tournament, organised by Nature Sport Company together with the Tag Rugby Association and by Algoa FM, ensured that the youngsters were entertained with Tag Rugby matches where they could show off their skills and have some good clean fun!

The Tag Rugby Association is a non-profit organisation which aids in developing rugby skills through tag rugby. Tag Rugby is for both boys and girls and is offered to all ages. It was great to see both parents and children participating and getting in on the summer action at Central Beach.

Plett’s beaches are becoming very popular for sporting events – have a look at our Events Calendar for more information on the Beach Run and Sabrina Love Ocean Challenge. Could there be a more perfect spot for Beach Tag Rugby than the heart of Plett?
