Plett’s young surfers fly the flag high at the 2022 Eden Groms surfing trials

Congratulations to nine young local surfers who have been selected as part of a 24-person team representing Eden Surf Riders at the 2022 Western Cape Grom Champs to be held in Muizenberg, Cape Town 26 & 27 March 2022. Their hard work and dedication have paid off.

Most of these surfers are students at the Garden Route Surf Academy (GRSA) based at Robberg 5 Beach and six of them are part of GRSA’s “Adopt a Surfer NPC” program. You can see them in action training Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings on Robberg 5. Brendan Harker has also been selected as coach for the team headed to Cape Town.
