Pro Dive Plett joins Green Fins to promote reef conservation
Pro Dive Plett has announced its recent membership with the Green Fins Association. As a Green Fins member, Pro Dive Plett is dedicated to protecting and conserving coral reefs by adhering to environmental guidelines that promote sustainable diving and snorkeling practices.
One of the primary goals of Pro Dive Plett as a Green Fins member is to organize and host five Reef/Shore Cleanups throughout 2024. These cleanups aim to remove marine debris and litter from coastal areas, contributing to the preservation of our precious marine ecosystems. Additionally, Pro Dive Plett has scheduled a cleanup activity during the week of the upcoming Plett Ocean Festival which will take place from 21 – 30 June 2024.
Green Fins Members, including dive centers, snorkeling centers, and liveaboards, play a crucial role in safeguarding reefs across the globe by upholding the Green Fins Code of Conduct and meeting strict environmental performance standards during annual assessments. The Pro Dive Plett team recently completed the Green Fins Dive Guide Course. This course teaches dive professionals to safeguard coral reefs & positively influence diver behavior by adhering to top environmental standards from the Green Fins initiative.
Pro Dive Plett invites the community to support its conservation efforts and join in the upcoming cleanups to make a positive impact on the marine environment.
