About SBosh

SBosh’s personal story starts like so many others of his generation: peer pressure and poor decisions saw him nearly missing obtaining his Grade 12 (Matric).  As a result, he withdrew from society and suffered from depression. He says that during this difficult time, his only friend and family member was the radio. During this time, he developed a love of radio and media, and dreamed of becoming a radio presenter.

It was only when Radio Nkqubela (KQfm) was established in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) that SBosh saw the possibility of his dream becoming a reality. While he admits that his personality and his ambition did not match to bring his ambition to reality, he was fortunate to work as a show/content producer at the station and managed to turn this into a wonderful learning opportunity. Like any true creative, his highlight is a slogan he created which KQfm still uses as their popular station tagline.

Upon leaving Port Elizabeth for Plett, SBosh expanded his learning by working as a junior designer at The Print Shop where he eventually started a youth magazine, KMAG. Continuing his journey of creativity, SBosh worked with CXPress as a freelance journalist and had the opportunity to work under renowned photographer/videographer, Daron Chatz who is based in Plett. With Daron’s influence, SBosh produced his first 60-minute film which sold 1500 copies within its first week!

SBosh’s most recent project, before COVID made it impossible to continue, was his much-loved community newspaper, Plettvoice. However, COVID has given SBosh the opportunity to establish his own online radio station known as Radio204 and it grown to an incredible 56 000 listeners!
