Local SA band Shortstraw has released a new single which lovingly embraces Plett’s Beacon Isle, the beach, the sea and holiday love.

Whilst the video may not contain any footage of Plett’s Central Beach and the Beacon Isle it refers to, the lyrics will surely transport you back to this location, where anything seems possible during the holidays when romance is in the air and youngsters throw caution to the wind in the pursuit of love.

When you’re young and in love/lust, anything goes. You can risk it all for the one you think is going to be with you forever, even though you’re young and dumb and it probably won’t last beyond the holiday. Lust makes you dumb, man.” says Alastair, lead vocalist.
