Small and intimate weddings are now the new norm, and particularly in Plett. We photographed this inspiration session at Grit and Grace, this shoot captures unique spaces that can be used for intimate celebrations.
Plett has an abundance of talented service providers, a shoot is a perfect opportunity to collaborate and showcase Plett’s talent.
We loved the natural beauty of the Grit and Grace venue, a gorgeous blend of rustic and romantic elements.
Our beautiful model bride, Marita Gerber, wore a crocheted bohemian wedding dress created by South of the Woods, stunningly elegant and comfortable to wear, the dress was complemented by a bouquet of flowers picked from the gardens and fields of Grit and Grace, the bouquet a combination of Queen Anne’ Lace, wild grasses, floribunda pink roses and salvia uluginosa. Nature is basically your floral designer.
Salon Divine hairstylist and creative makeup team set the tone for our chosen wedding style, Marita’s make up was understated, natural and elegant.
Shirley from Salon Divine strongly believes each client should look natural, yet radiantly beautiful, this is accomplished by enhancing each client’s natural features.
Firefly Jewellers wedding band and engagement ring set in white gold with a round brilliant diamond set in antique style complimented a boho chic theme for the day.
Our ceremony was set in fields of yellow helichrycum and aristea, a Persian carpet created the aisle, casual white benches placed on each side and Michelle’s DIY Tee Pee centre piece created the bohemian vibe.
The Rustic elegant reception was set in amongst a vineyard, open-air dining under the night skies. Events and Tents supplied the exquisite chandelier hung above a rustic wooden table with an array of mixed golden candlesticks and crystal glassware.
Our chef Jazzy from Naked Gardener Catering created an array of canapes.
- 5 spice roast duck with ginger jammy plums spring onion and wrapped in cucumber ribbons.
- Parmesan shorts with cream cheese, pesto and slow roasted cherry tomatoes.
- Tandoori chicken skewers with minted yoghurt and coriander dip.
- Open steak sarnie with truffle butter, rocket and parmesan charcoal toasts with homemade thyme ricotta, prosciutto and nectarines slices.
- Included an out of this world charcuterie board.
The sweetest part of the shoot was ice cream from Ice Palazzo plus homemade fudge and chocolate treats from #Sjokolatmasters.
