"Good Samaritan" Plett holidaymakers made sure that hundreds of children had at least one tasty meal this festive season.

Anti-child abuse group Plett Green Hearts spokesperson Yvette Wilschut said on December 30 she received a very welcome phone call informing her of a couple, who wished to remain anonymous, who wanted to donate 150 KFC meals to children in need in the Bitou area.

“We were asked to assist in getting the meals to the children,” Wilschut said.

With the help of local police they set up two delivery points, one near the Qolweni township and another in the Crags.
