The Setting:

10 minutes from Plettenberg Bay, 1000 miles from reality, a stones throw from Jukani, Monkey Land, Birds of Eden, Elephants, and a myriad of attractions. Exquisitely handcrafted, fully equipped self catering forest cabins & a garden cottage.

Free WiFi in all cabins and at the beautifully situated Info hub which is open from 07h00 to 21h00 daily.

“Fly Me to The Moon” Forest Cabin:
A creative & romantic retreat for two hidden in the forest canopy – a 50 meter walk from where you park your car. The open plan cabin has been beautifully crafted and features a one of a kind tent-like bed with drop away sash window. The en suite bathroom has a toilet & hand basin, and there is a private mosaic and glass shower with a view on the deck. A fully equipped kitchenette provides all you will need for self catering. There is a braai area outside and cosy fireplace inside. There is no TV for this love nest, but the cabin does have free WiFi. (Sleeps max 2 – no children or babies).

“Firefly” & “Bushpig” Forest Cabins:
Are perfect for 2 adults. 1 child can be accommodated on a pull out mattress on the floor. These 2 cabins are open plan (with exception of the bathroom of course) with a queen size bed, fireplace in the living area, and kitchenette with small fridge, stove. Both the living and sleeping areas have French doors opening onto an elevated and private deck. Bushpig has a flat screen TV with select DSTV channels and free WiFi.

“Tree Frog” Forest Cabin:
Easy access via a wooden walkway leads to a wrap-around deck on two sides; “Tree Frog” is elevated high amongst the trees offering magical views of the forest and its creatures. There is a bedroom with queen size bed downstairs, and an enticing loft sleeping area upstairs with 4 single beds. The kitchen and living area are bigger than the 2 small cabins and there is a lovely open fireplace. French doors open onto the deck. There is no TV, but the cabin does have free WiFi.

“Vervet” Forest Cabin:
Our biggest cabin is special in many ways. Most notably is the superb “shower tower” – truly original, crafted from brick, glass bottles and finished in mosaic. This is good enough reason to experience this spacious 2 bedroom cabin. The big and private deck has access from the main bedroom and the lounge. The second bedroom sleeps 4. The living area is open plan with a fireplace in the lounge. Vervet has a flat screen TV with select DSTV channels and free WiFi.

“Butterfly Garden Cottage”

“Butterfly” is quaint and full of character. Set in it’s own garden it boasts the finest views on the property and a wide verandah from which to enjoy this. The cottage comprises 2 interleading bedrooms one with queen size bed and one with a double bunk and a single bed. There is a dressing room, toilet and basin, and open plan lounge and kitchen. The shower, similar to the one in Vervet Forest Cabin, is one of its kind and absolutely superb. Butterfly has a flat screen TV with select DSTV channels and free Wi-Fi.

The Location:

Enter Moon Shine directly off the N2. When travelling from Plett towards Tsitsikamma you will see our sign 8 kms after the Keurbooms River bridge, turn left. When travelling from Tsitsikamma towards Plett we are 5 kms past the shop at The Crags, turn right.

The Bottom Line:

Free WiFi is available in all cottages and at the beautifully situated Info zone.
All cabins are fully equipped for self catering, bring only what you need to eat and drink and beach towels.
All cabins have their own braai facilities and parking.
Smoking is restricted to outdoors; cigarette butts on the ground are considered litter.
We do not facilitate credit cards.
Minimum stays apply only during our High Season, and over certain long weekends.
