Natalie Chapman

natalie chapman 90 days tour
Event Date: 07 March, 2015

Natalie Chapman, well-known South African singer, undertook a hugely ambitious singing  tour in 2014 : 90 performances on 90 consecutive days in 90 different towns, from January to April 2014, covering 13 500kms across the country.  Her objective was to reach one person in each town to encourage survivors of violent and sexual crimes to speak out about their experiences.  And of course, to raise awareness and funds to help women, men and children who have suffered as a result of these crimes.  She was awarded a Lead SA Hero Award for her efforts.

She is about to embark on a similar, seemingly impossible, tour and the Plett community will soon be able to hear her message of hope and inspiration… as well as her wonderful music.  Ruby Chetty, well-known Plett Rotarian will be hosting her.

Come out and support this very worthy cause.

Chapman has just announced that she will be returning to the Road with #90Days2015 and this time with a twist. She has set a new challenge for herself. This time around she’ll be performing an incredible 180 Performances in 90 Consecutive Days in 90 Different Towns. And for #90Days2015 she is adding Zambia, Namibia and Lesotho to her schedule, spreading her message to new territories.

Her objective of the tour is to reach 1 person in each town to either encourage survivors to speak out about their experiences in order to find healing and also to motivate and mobilise everyday Africans to get involved in helping women, men and children who have suffered an ordeal.

Natalie is a proud ambassador and Board Member of Epic Foundation, which was founded by Alta McMaster at the beginning of 2013. Having experienced various traumas in her own life, Alta has a deep understanding of how lonely and helpless one can feel if no-one reaches out a helping hand. Through her personal experiences Alta was encouraged to provide that helping hand to others in the form of assisting with the empowerment of survivors of trauma.

Natalie will be raising funds for this incredible organisation and others around South Africa through her performances and fund-raising event.
