Congratulations Clyde Berning and Damien Schumann for completing 359 kilometers in 8 days from Addo to Eden, the “Flow of Life”, to raise funds for Eden to Addo.
Sore but euphoric they have engaged with nature in a meaningful way appreciating the need to make place for wild life to move as they did especially in times of climate change.
Big open landscapes are rare but the Eden to Addo Corridor is still one of these rare landscapes that needs to be protected. They ended in the last of the 5 biomes they crossed, the forest biome, at a 600-year-old yellowwood tree in the Garden of Eden.
Imagine all the wildlife this tree has experienced going by which now no longer do so due to fragmentation of the landscape. By helping Eden to Addo establish corridors connecting parks we can improve the movement of all species.
