Set in the lush rolling hills of The Crags in the heart of the Plett Wine Route – South Africa’s smallest “Wine of Origin” production area – Kay & Monty Vineyards is a small, family-owned wine farm with just under eight hectares of land under vine.
Restaurant & tasting room:
Our charming restaurant and tasting room offer a relaxed location for long, unhurried lunches served family-style in a converted orchid greenhouse, which also transforms into an elegant wedding venue for celebrations both large and small.
The restaurant and tasting room are open from Wednesday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm.

Our wines:
Each of our four boutique wines – a Sauvignon Blanc, a rosé, a red blend and a Cap Classique – is remarkably easy drinking as well as having been extremely well-received by the industry. The 2023 edition of Platter’s Wine Guide awarded the SAV 2020 and The Chick SMG Red Blend 2021 four stars each, while our Champu 2017 sparkling wine got 4.5 stars – fitting recognition of the vision, hard work and determination of our small team.
In addition to the usual cool-climate varietals like Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz, we have also planted a few hectares of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan. These red grapes in particular are used in blends like The Chick and to make present and future releases of our rosé.

With our beautiful vineyards and the lush rolling hills of The Crags as your backdrop, a wedding or special celebration at Kay & Monty is sure to be an event to remember.
Our contemporary function venue seats up to 200 guests (although we can accommodate smaller or larger events, depending on your requirements) and acts as a blank canvas for your dream décor. In addition to the breathtaking surroundings of the 220-hectare estate, we are also known for our exceptional food, with flexible menu options that promise a mouthwatering culinary experience for your guests.

Country House:
Once the original farmhouse on the land that became Kay & Monty Vineyards and situated less than 30 minutes from Plettenberg Bay, this spacious private villa is ideally located for exploring the Garden Route.
Each of the five large, en-suite bedrooms is individually decorated with breathtaking views of the garden and the surrounding landscape. The house also comes fully equipped with a private swimming pool, large cook’s kitchen, braai facilities, cosy indoor fireplaces, a spacious lounge and dining area and a separate rumpus room opening out onto a wide verandah overlooking the blue Tsitsikamma Mountains.
