The Active Kids Festival took place in KwaNokuthula on Saturday 15 July. Organised by Phakamisani School, the event was held to raise funds for the school, promote a drug free/active kids ethos and give the children a fun day out during the holidays.

Plett Tourism sponsored jumping castles and transport for Kurland and Kranshoek children, while Phakamile Sebezo arranged indigenous games and brought the Kati rope jumpers from George who were a big hit.  This was also sponsored by Plett Tourism, in line with the promotion of indigenous culture in Plett, during the Plett Arts Festival.

Food vendors plyed their trade and an active day was had by all.

On Thursday 20th July the last performance of local traditional dancers will be taking place at the Market on Main from 5 – 6pm.  The Riel Dancers from Kranshoek will be dancing “laat die stof so staan”!

Riel Dancers will dance at Market on Main on Thursday 20th July from 5-6pm.
