What a fantastic time of year to be in Plett! As the summer season winds down, mornings take on a crisp freshness while the days retain their hospitable warmth while the busy Plett Polo summer scene winds to close with the SA Polo Open this April. 

However, if you’re thinking about endings, we suggest you reframe as beginnings…

With so much to do, so many adventures and experiences that await, it feels as though the town is enjoying a second awakening, shaking off its summer skin and preparing for a different season: where forest trails are calling, golden afternoons in the winelands are beckoning and entertaining, unexpected events are all the rage. What will you be doing this autumn in Plett? 

BUCO Adventure Easter Weekend – 8 & 9 April 2023

Trail runners and adventure racing enthusiasts of all ages can look forward to two fantastic days of outdoor fun this Easter. The first day – trail running – will take place at Cairnbrogie, with great coffee, lucky draws and Easter eggs. And the second will take place at Royston Farms for a run-ride-run adventure race with basic Google Maps navigation and checkpoints as a guide.

Autumn Polo in Plett

Pop in at the SA Polo Open – 5, 8, 12, 15 April 2023

A wonderful day out for anyone that wishes to watch an exciting, adrenaline-filled polo game along with drinks, food and music at the exquisite polo grounds on Kurland Estate in the The Crags.

Watercourse History Festival – 26-29 April 2023

The Fourth Watercourse History Festival in Plettenberg Bay returns to the Piesang Valley Hall with three days of fascinating presentations. This year, political and history publisher, Jacana will feature four of their best authors for Freedom Day: Dr. June Bam, Hennie van Vuuren, Rory Riordan and Buntu Siwisa.
