In August of 1949, Life Magazine ran a banner headline that begged the question: “Jackson Pollock: Is he the greatest living painter in the United States?”
The film looks back on the life of an extraordinary man who has fittingly been called “an artist dedicated to concealment, a celebrity who nobody knew.” That said, Pollock was well known amongst friends as a keen and superb cook. Enjoy some of his favourite recipes prepared by Chef Alex Olivier ending off with Pollock’s famous apple pie. An evening of film, feasting, bourbon and spirits tastings. You may even have an opportunity to wield a brush yourself.
