Cyril Coetzee has taught painting freelance for many years and under his mentorship has watched the maturation of the artistic talent of Gilly Gregory, Ingrid Tonkin, Tessa Hinton and Bets Henning. They will exhibit about thirty paintings to suit all tastes and pockets along with sculpture from Bronze Field Foundry, Harkerville by Robbert Leggat and contemporary furniture by Patrick Reid of Reidwood.

Robert Leggat has recently installed a magnificent bronze sculpture of The Archangel Michael slaying the Dragon in the grounds of Michaelhouse School in the Natal Midlands. The grounds in front of the school have been re-landscaped and terraced and a series of rills flow down the terraces into the pool in which the Archangel Michael and the dragon have been placed. Robert will be exhibiting some recent work which include diverse birds, pangolin, honey badger, dung beetle amongst others bronzes.

Patrick Reid has been creating furniture in Plettenberg Bay since 2001. He was drawn to the area by the timber and furniture tradition. The work he will exhibit is a mixture of styles, timber and material – large and small pieces, all most pleasure to the eye in their texture and design.

This exhibition is a collaborative event with Hospice Plett.
