The weather warms up and — suddenly, it seems — music festivals are everywhere. With the generally hectic  schedule expected during summer, including work, holidays, and spending time with friends and family, many of us still find time to go to one or MANY different festivals and events. It is clear that music festivals are genuinely loved by so many; and here are a few reasons we love them:

The Music: The most important reason of a music festival is of course, the music. With music’s ability to reach the hearts of so many people simultaneously, getting us in the groove and sway to killer tunes. The Get Lucky Summer concert series at the Beacon Isle Resort has become the heartbeat of #PlettSummer, and it goes over five weekends. This year, fans will storm the lawns of Beacon Isle Resort to watch Goodluck with special appearances from Matthew Mole, Rubber Duc, The Kiffness and many, many more.

The People: Secondly, are the people. Music events bring a certain type of soul, where a connection is often made with new friends that are close enough to last a lifetime. The Barnyard in Plett has something for everyone with daily events in December – including the first Plett Blues Festival.

Happiness: Lastly, the most important part of a music event that keeps people coming back for more is happiness. With the combination of music and people, music events are, simply, just happy places. The Meadows, a new sea-breezy outdoor venue brings us the much-awaited We Love Summer events and a few other gems, definitely destined to be a #PlettSummer regular feature. So many events and concerts, so little time when the beach is beckoning! Exciting times for Plett!
