Plett ARTS Festival: Augmented Reality (AR) – Merging digital and physical worlds

Join Debra de Villiers, Garth Ensley and Ian Rossenrode at the Plett ARTS Festival for an immersive and entertaining look at the worlds of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) at the Piesang Valley Hall.
Debra’s interactive exhibition will be opening on 21 September 2024 with a special VR headset experience with Garth Ensley, join conversations with Debra and Ian Rossenrode on the link between traditional and digital art, AI and AR on 26 September, and a taster pop-up digital exhibition on the Plett Twilight Meander at the Ivory Haus coffee shop terrace on 20 September 2024. Debra de Villiers, is a multimedia graphic designer, whose design business, Dimension Design, specialises in professional branding, websites and marketing materials. Her art focus is also on the fusion of her traditional art and digital design background with the latest creative technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR), AI, 3D and Motion Graphics. She is passionate about the intersection of art, design and technology.
Debra’s digital art brand, Firehart, is where her own creative expression runs free. Debra prints her digital art onto clothing and other products that can be found in some local retail shops and online. Clients are able to order custom animated digital illustrations of anything you can imagine!
