Plett Shepherds for Rage
Rage will be taking place from the 29th of November until the 6th of December. As usual we will be running the Plett Shepherds during this time. For those that do not know, they are a group of volunteers who assist with transporting vulnerable youngsters who may be in a compromising situation, and ensure that they are returned to their accommodation safely.
Over the past eight years they have transported many, many Ragers, with no incidents. As they do every year, they request volunteers to assist them for the week, doing shifts. The basic requirements are that you have your own licensed motor vehicle, a valid driver’s license and a partner to accompany you. (And a sense of humour – the kids are quite entertaining!)
They run two shifts from 20:00 until 03:00 and the more volunteers they get, the easier it is, so that the same people are not out night after night.
Many Ragers have become regular holidaymakers here, and love Plett as much as we do! Their goal is to ensure that each youngster they assist will remember Plett as a caring community who looked after their safety and wellbeing and returns year after year and supports our little piece of paradise. This can only be done with your help.
If you are keen to assist, please send Lisa a WhatsApp on 072 373 9689, and she will give you more information. They will be extremely grateful, and know the parents of any youngsters they assist will be just as grateful.
If you are a parent of a Rager this year, or will be in the next couple of years, please assist them in looking after our children before they embark into the adult world.
