The 2017 Springbok Rugby squad is currently in Plettenberg Bay on a training camp ahead of their test clashes with the French in June.

Captain Warren Whiteley and his squad will spend the week here where they will fit in a number of training and recovery sessions, gym workouts, perform medical check-ups and take part in team building activities.

This morning a few of the players had a session in the local gym before heading off to their next training session at the Bitou Rugby Ground. It is there that they will train during their stay in Plett, holding a meet and greet for locals on Tuesday afternoon.

The 2017 squad consists of Lood de Jager, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Ruan Dreyer, Eben Etzebeth, Steven Kitshoff, Siya Kolisi, Jaco Kriel, Frans Malherbe, Malcolm Marx, Bongi Mbonambi, Oupa Mohoje, Franco Mostert, Tendai Mtawarira, Lizo Gqoboka, Coenie Oosthuizen, Chiliboy Ralepelle, Duane Vermeulen, Warren Whiteley (captain), Lukhanyo Am, Andries Coetzee, Ross Cronje, Damian de Allende, Francois Hougaard, Elton Jantjies, Jesse Kriel, Dillyn Leyds, Rudy Paige, Raymond Rhule, Jan Serfontein, Courtnall Skosan and Frans Steyn.

A number of the players, including Elton Jantjies pictured alongside, joined in the tradition of signing their names on the gym wall.
