The increasingly popular Tour de Plett MTB Race will take place on Saturday 10 October 2015 – at the same time as the Sasfin Plett Wine & Bubbly Festival, which takes place on 9-10 October.

The Tour de Plett consists of an 85km Marathon, 55km Half-marathon and a 20km Fun Ride. The Marathon event is part of the SWD Marathon Series. It’s a spectacular route with stunning scenery, challenging climbs and both Jeep and Single-track rides. All profits from the event go towards funding of the Kwano Cycling Academy (Seewww.facebook.com/kwanocyclingacademy ).

Plett Tourism manager Cindy Wilson-Trollip said the inclusion of the Tour de Plett in the October holiday period, at the same time as the Sasfin Plett Wine & Bubbly Festival, the Sasfin Plett Winelands Golf Classic, which takes place on 8 October, and the Robberg Xpress Trail Run on 10 October, created compelling reasons for people to visit Plett.

In addition to the festival, the golf, MTB and trail run, many of our wine estates will be hosting their own eventsduring the week (5-9 October).
