Plett Tourism is excited to announce that we are officially recognized as one of World Travel Market® Africa’s 2020 official Media Partners, a true testament to our destination marketing organization’s endeavors at keeping Plettenberg Bay a progressive and world-class choice for guests.
The team at Plett Tourism will be promoting the town alongside several local tourism products including The Plettenberg Hotel, Plett Villas, the South African Animal Sanctuary Alliance and a group of adventure activities that fall under the Plett Adventure umbrella.
“We have been attending WTM Africa for six years now and have learned that defining our target market is key to get the most out of the show. We get to know and understand our competition, make valuable new media contacts, build partnerships, increase exposure to Plettenberg Bay and gain momentum. It’s invigorating for our team and they also learn a great deal about the industry,” says Plett Tourism’s Patty Butterworth (Media Spokesperson). “We are honored to have been selected as one of the few Media Partners of this year’s event, in particular as we are the only Local Tourism Office (LTO) that has been selected,” says Butterworth.
World Travel Market® Africa 2020 will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) between the 6th and 8th of April. Plett Tourism is participating with the district tourism body, Garden Route & Klein Karoo and Wesgro on the very popular Western Cape stand.
WTM Africa is a fantastic platform to launch new products, to meet travel professionals and to experience the South African travel industry. With a vibrant, culturally diverse audience of tourism professionals in South Africa and international travel professionals, our four representatives are increasing brand exposure, generating new sales leads, strengthening existing relationships and closing new business.
Follow-up and continuous contact with industry professionals will be ongoing, and we will be actively involved with post educational trips with travel professionals and media representatives post WTM.
