Suzelle DIY will entertain crowds at the Plett Food Film Festival during Plett MAD this year.
The famous and well-loved DIY YouTube sensation Suzelle will be making a headline appearance at this year’s Plett MAD just in time for the Plett Food Film Festival. Well known for her hysterical do-it-yourself advice on everything from creating your own DIY Amp by popping your cell phone in a large jar to pump up the volume, to Love and Magic in the Kitchen with Michelin Star chef Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen from Nice Restaurant, Suzelle DIY is just as titillating with her whimsical approach.
Suzelle DIY will entertain crowds at the Plett Food Film Festival during Plett MAD for the first time at The White House Theatre in Plettenberg Bay on Tuesday 12th July, with a live DIY demo that will have you in stitches. She is paired with the film A Good Year directed by Ridley Scott and starring Russell Crowe – a fitting backdrop for the wine and canapé pairing with six of our top wine vineyards and restaurants on the same night.
“We are expecting valuable DIY advice on …. something about wine? Your guess is as good as mine! What is certain, in her inimitable style, Suzelle will have us chuckling,” says Cindy Wilson-Trollip, Manager of Plett Tourism.
The movie follows the life of a failed London investment banker, Max Skinner, who inherits his uncle’s chateau and vineyard in Provence, where he spent much of his childhood. He discovers a new laid-back lifestyle as he tries to renovate the estate to be sold. Upon arrival, he meet a woman from California who tells Max she s his long-lost cousin and that the property is hers.

You won’t want to miss this full evening which ends with a virtuoso performance by internationally acclaimed accordionist Stanislav Angelov, as you sip your last glasses of wine and bubbly.

The festival’s reputation continues to grow, marking Plett as a performance destination for acclaimed artists while cultivating local talent. The Plett MAD Festival is scheduled for 24 June – 18 July, 2016.
